Terms of Service
Last updated: November 3, 2026
These terms apply when you hire Howl Marketing ("Howl", "we", "us") for marketing services. Your proposal or client agreement sets out the specifics of your engagement. If it says something different from these terms, the proposal or agreement wins.
What we do
We run marketing for small consumer brands: media buying, creators, email, search and brand work, depending on what we agree on your onboarding call. We build everything inside your own accounts and tools, so the work is yours to keep and you can take it in-house when you're ready.
Fees and billing
- Monthly retainer. Billed in US dollars at the start of each month through Stripe.
- Performance fee. A percentage of incremental revenue above a baseline we agree with you before work starts. We invoice it monthly, and each invoice is due within 10 days.
- Founding rate. A one-time fee for founding clients, paid before work starts.
- Ad spend is paid by you directly to the ad platforms and is not part of our fees.
If a payment is late, we may pause work until it's settled.
Minimum term
Engagements run for a minimum of 3 months. Founding-rate engagements run for a minimum of 2 months. Fees for the minimum term remain due if you end the engagement early.
Cancellation
After the minimum term, either side can end the engagement with 30 days' written notice by email to comercial@howlmkt.com.
Refunds
- Founding rate: fully refundable if you ask within 3 days of paying.
- Retainers and performance fees are not refundable once the billing period has started.
If something looks wrong on a charge, email us before disputing it with your bank. We'll sort it out quickly.
Handover and buyout
When you take your marketing in-house or move to another agency after the minimum term, a buyout fee may apply, as set out in your client agreement. It's based on the performance fees we've already earned, so there's no buyout if there was no growth.
Your part
You give us access to the accounts and tools we need, and answers when we need them. You're responsible for your products, claims and compliance with the rules that apply to your business.
Results
We work to grow your revenue, but marketing results depend on many things outside our control, so we can't guarantee specific outcomes.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. Changes don't affect an engagement already in progress unless you agree.
